How HEIC to JPG conversion works
HEIC to JPG, without the detour. Conversion runs on the phone or tablet.
Step 1
Choose photos or files
Bring pictures in with the system Photos picker, the Files importer, or drag-and-drop on iPad. Choosing photos does not request full library access.
Step 2
Pick format, quality, and metadata
Choose JPG, PNG, or PDF. JPG quality presets are named Small, Balanced, and Best. Metadata choices are named Keep metadata, Remove location only, and Remove all metadata. You can also merge a batch into one PDF.
Step 3
Save or share the results
Save to Photos, save to Files, share with the system share sheet, or copy. Saving to Photos asks for add-only photo library access when you tap Save, so the app can add the new image.
What you can convert
Use it when a site, printer, or client asks for JPG and the camera roll is still HEIC. The developer does not receive the photos.
HEIC, HEIF, JPEG, and PNG go in. JPG, PNG, or PDF comes out. There is no account and no analytics SDK.
JPG quality presets are named Small, Balanced, and Best.
Keep metadata leaves it in place. Remove location only removes the GPS dictionary and asks ImageIO to exclude GPS. That is not a promise that every camera-maker private note is gone. Remove all metadata removes the EXIF, IPTC, GPS, Maker Apple, and XMP metadata the app controls. A converted file can still contain technical fields the format needs, such as pixel size and color information.
Several images can be merged into a single PDF.
Requires iOS 17 or later. If a free user selects more photos than they have left that day, the whole batch is not converted and the unlock screen opens.
Choosing a photo that exists only in iCloud can make iOS download that photo. That download is Apple’s. This app does not send that photo.
